Great North Run (+++)

The Great North Run, then all the way home, 12th - 15th September 2021

Mentioned by Tanni-Grey Thompson on Twitter and in the race commentary on BBC1

On Saturday 12th September 2021, I ran the Great North Run, to fundraise for Mental Health Research UK.

However, realising that no-one who knew me would be likely to sponsor me for a (mere!) half marathon, I decided to make it more difficult ... by running home again afterwards. This means that I ran over 100 miles, or four marathons on four consecutive days, and eventually arrived back home on Wednesday 15 September.

Mental Health Research UK

The aim of this run was to fundraise for Mental Health Research UK. Thank you to everyone who has supported my fundraising so far: we have raised over £1,200.
